Veterinary Technicians

The Veterinary Technicians assist in dentals and in surgery, perform lab work, and take radiographs (x-rays). They work closely with the doctors in caring for our hospitalized patients, handling treatments and minor procedures, and monitoring patient progress.

Personal Page

Jane has been officially working with animals since 1979. She became a licensed technician in 1987 and started at Redwood in 1993. She holds a BS in Zoology from Washington State Univ. Jane has an active household which includes her 2 daughters, Abby & Emily, along with all the family pets (4 dogs, 2 cats, 2 rats and 1 guinea pig). Her other interests include swimming, photography and arts & crafts.

After studying marine science at the US Coast Guard Academy, Erika acquired a collection of birds, reptiles, amphibians, arachnids, fish, ferrets, horses and cats. Of course it was inevitable that Erika become a veterinary technician. She has been at Redwood since June of 1995, and became licensed in June of 1998. In her free time she likes to hike, rollerblade, and take her horses on the local trails.

Kelsey started at Redwood in 1997 as an Animal Care Technician, and became a Veterinary Technician in 2000. She went to Bel-Rea Institue of Veterinary Technology in Denver, Colorado, graduating withw and AAS degree in 2004. Shortly thereafter, she obtained her Veterinary Technician License. Kelsey's kept busy with her pets at home: Tanner (German Shepherd), Neeka (rescued Greyhound mix), and Budda (Siamese mix cat).

Craig has worked at Redwood since May of 1997 and has been a technician since May of 2000. In the summer Craig is an avid photographer and in the winter months he enjoys tearing up the slopes on his snowboard.

Brooke advanced to our Technician department after starting her career here as an Animal Care Technician.
